This Privacy Policy explains how justext (“Service”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our iOS application and website at justext.space.

1. Who can use justext

justext is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Service or create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at durn3v@gmail.com and we will delete it.

2. Information we collect

Account and identity

• Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, Apple may share an Apple account identifier and, if you choose, an email address (or a private relay email). We store this to create and authenticate your account.
• Username and profile. The username you choose and any bio or profile text you provide.
• Typography styles. Style preferences you create or save in the app (fonts, colors, and related display settings).

Content and social activity

• Text posts, comments, and messages you create (justext is text-only; we do not ask for photos, video, or face data).
• Social graph data such as follows, likes, blocks, and reports you submit.
• In-app notifications related to activity on your content or account.

Device and technical data

• Push notification tokens (for example Apple Push Notification service tokens) if you enable notifications.
• Session / refresh tokens used to keep you signed in securely.
• Basic server logs that may include IP address, timestamps, and request metadata needed to operate, secure, and debug the Service.

Information we do not seek

We do not collect government IDs, precise location for advertising, contacts from your address book, photos, microphone audio, or advertising identifiers for third-party ad tracking. justext does not show third-party advertising networks in the app today.

3. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate you and keep your session secure
• Show your posts and profile to other users as you intend
• Send push notifications you enable
• Enforce our Terms, moderate abuse, and respond to reports
• Comply with law and protect the rights and safety of users
• Communicate with you about the Service when you contact us

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in these cases:

• Public content. Your username, bio, posts, and related public activity are visible to other users of the Service as part of normal use.
• Service providers. Infrastructure and platform providers that help us run justext (for example hosting, databases, Apple for Sign in with Apple and push delivery). They may process data only to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety. If required by law, or if needed to protect users, investigate abuse, or enforce our Terms.
• Business transfer. If the Service is transferred as part of a sale, merger, or similar event, information may move with it under this Policy’s protections.

5. Retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active. If you delete your account in the app, we delete or irreversibly de-identify associated personal data and content, subject to short-term backups and any records we must retain for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.

6. Your choices and rights

• Edit profile. Update username/bio and related settings in the app.
• Notifications. Control push permissions in iOS Settings.
• Delete account. Use “delete account” in Settings. This permanently removes your account and content you posted, as described in the app.
• Contact. Email durn3v@gmail.com to ask questions, request access or correction where applicable, or request deletion if you cannot use in-app controls.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example access, deletion, or objection). We will respond to valid requests as required.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information (including encrypted transport and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. International processing

We may process and store information on servers in countries other than where you live. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have done so, we will delete that information promptly.

10. Third-party services

Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution, and Apple Push Notification service are operated by Apple and subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Our website may load fonts or similar assets from third-party CDNs; those providers may receive technical request data (such as IP address) when pages load.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
